The filling of certified and non-certified
positions is coordinated and recommended to the Board of
Education by the Superintendent of Schools. The appropriate
administrator screens, interviews, and recommends for hire
all staff for his/her building. Final interviews for recommended certified staff are
conducted by the Superintendent’s office.
For an applicant to be
eligible for an interview, an application must be on file in
the Central Office of Mt. Zion School District. An
application is available online or can be requested
by calling the Central Office by phone at 217/864-2366.

please follow these steps:

A formal letter of interest indicating your desire to be
considered a candidate for the position.
2.

An up-to-date resume with references and, if available, a
listing of your accomplishments.
4.
An up-to-date administrative/teaching certificate indicating
qualifications to be an administrator in the State of Illinois.
5.
A complete set of up-to-date credentials and official college
transcripts.
All applicants must submit a
full packet of information to the district by the deadline to be
considered. The district considers a full packet to
include the following five items: letter of interest;
application (available on the district website); current resume
with references; a copy of the appropriate certificate; and
official college transcripts. The full packet of

Letters of interest and
application materials will be forwarded to the appropriate
hiring administrator. The hiring administrator will contact you if an interview is
desired.
Candidates for non-certified
vacancies (secretaries, custodians, food service, etc.)
should complete and return an application to the Central
Office.
